Get answers to common questions about 15- Minute Massage.
During a 15- Minute Massage we focus on high-tension areas like the neck, shoulders, upper back, hands or temples. Your therapist will ask your preference and concentrate techniques to relieve pain and stiffness quickly while maximizing comfort and relaxation.
Arrive a few minutes early, wear comfortable clothing, and avoid heavy meals beforehand. Share any medical conditions, recent injuries, or areas of sensitivity with your therapist so they can customize pressure and target the most effective spots during the brief session.
Yes. You can request two to three priority areas; therapists divide the session to address each efficiently. Because of the short duration, we recommend focusing on specific trouble spots rather than full-body work to achieve meaningful relief in limited time.
It can be safe for sensitive skin when lighter pressure is used, but avoid massaging over open wounds, bruises, recent surgeries, fractures, or active inflammation. Always inform your therapist of injuries or health concerns; your therapist or doctor can advise whether the 15- Minute Massage is appropriate.
For general maintenance, schedule a 15- Minute Massage once weekly or every two weeks. If you’re managing chronic tension or recovering from strain, we recommend more frequent sessions—two to three times weekly—until symptoms improve, then taper to maintenance frequency.
Aromatherapy and add-ons vary by location. At Maya’s Beauty Bar, we can include a subtle essential oil aroma upon request and offer small extras like warm towels or targeted scalp work for an additional fee. Ask at booking to customize your session.
