A typical back waxing appointment at Maya’s Beauty Bar lasts about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on hair density and any required preparation. Consultations, trimming, and aftercare are included for a thorough, comfortable experience.
Minor redness or sensitivity immediately after waxing is normal and usually subsides within 24 to 48 hours. We provide soothing post-wax lotions and aftercare guidance; contact us if redness persists or signs of infection appear.
Gently exfoliate 48 hours before and avoid sun exposure or tanning. Ensure hair is at least quarter-inch long, skip lotions or oils on the day, and wear loose clothing to minimize friction after the service.
Hair should be about 1/4 inch (approximately 6 mm) so the wax can grip and remove it from the root. If hair is too short or too long, we can trim or advise optimal timing for best results.
Avoid hot showers, heavy exercise, saunas, and sun exposure for 24 to 48 hours. Use recommended soothing products, avoid tight clothing, and gently exfoliate after several days to prevent ingrown hairs.
