Get answers to common questions about Half Leg Wax.
A half leg wax typically takes twenty to thirty-five minutes depending on hair density and therapist technique. First-time clients may need extra time for consultation and skin prep. Allow a forty-five minute appointment window to be safe and unhurried.
Gently exfoliate one to two days before and avoid heavy creams or oils on the day. Hair should be approximately a quarter inch long for effective removal. Avoid sunburn or tanning and tell us about any skin sensitivities or recent treatments.
Some tugging and brief stinging are normal, especially on first waxes. Our therapists use warming waxes, proper technique, and soothing pressure to minimize pain. We offer pre- and post-wax calming lotions and can adjust speed or timing for client comfort.
Typically legs stay smooth for three to six weeks depending on personal hair growth cycles. Regular waxing can extend intervals and reduce regrowth thickness. Individual results vary; schedule maintenance appointments every four to six weeks for consistent smoothness.
If you have sensitive skin we recommend a patch test before a full half leg wax. Active eczema, open sores or inflamed skin should not be waxed. Discuss medical history and current skincare with your therapist to determine if waxing is suitable.
Avoid hot baths, vigorous exercise and sun exposure for twenty-four to forty-eight hours. Use gentle, fragrance-free moisturizers and avoid exfoliating for at least forty-eight hours. Apply cool compresses for redness and contact us if irritation persists or signs of infection appear.
